CENTER FOR RESEARCH PLANNING AND COORDINATION
The Center for Research Planning and Coordination is responsible for planning, drafting, and coordinating key matters related to studies and research, as well as overseeing specif ic issues. The Center also manages the comprehensive coordination of research projects within the National Institute of Infectious Diseases, facilitates communication and collaboration with relevant government agencies, and coordinates joint research projects with other research institutions.
OFFICE I (OFFICE OF POLICY RESEARCH)
The off ice plans, drafts, and coordinates important matters related to surveys, research, and health crisis management, as well as specif ic issues. The off ice collects and studies policy-related information, conducts training programs, and liaises with relevant government agencies.
OFFICE II (OFFICE OF COORDINATION)
The off ice oversees the Center’s overall administrative coordination and handles tasks not assigned to other off ices.
OFFICE III (OFFICE OF INNOVATION)
The off ice coordinates with the private sector, research institutions, and government agencies to promote research and development in the f ields of prevention and healthcare.
OFFICE IV (OFFICE OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT COORDINATION)
The off ice consolidates scientif ic evidence related to prevention and healthcare, provides information, and organizes training programs on infectious diseases.
OFFICE V (OFFICE OF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY)
The off ice is responsible for overall matters related to research and development on infectious diseases and other medical conditions, including collaboration with relevant institutions and the implementation of joint research projects. In addition, the off ice collects and analyzes information on trends in research and development, and conducts training programs related to these areas.
OFFICE VI (OFFICE OF MEDICAL COUNTERMEASURES STRATEGY)
The off ice is responsible for collecting and studying information related to the development and provision of medical countermeasures, as well as conducting training programs about these activities.
OFFICE VII (OFFICE OF VACCINE STRATEGY)
The off ice is responsible for collecting and studying information related to the development and provision of vaccines, as well as conducting training programs about these activities.
OFFICE VIII (OFFICE OF PUBLIC HEALTH)
The off ice is responsible for collecting information and conducting research in public health, as well as coordinating training programs on research ethics and related to these areas.
OFFICE IX (OFFICE OF STRATEGY FOR ARTS AND SOCIAL SCIENCES)
The off ice is responsible for collecting information and conducting research in not only arts and social sciences but also on the social impact on daily life and economy concerning measures against pandemic inf luenza, as well as coordinating training programs related to these areas.
OFFICE X (OFFICE OF BORDER CONTROL MEASURES STRATEGY)
The off ice is responsible for collecting information and conducting research on border control measures with a focus on quarantine, as well as coordinating training programs on infectious disease crisis management and related to these areas.
OFFICE XI (OFFICE OF RESEARCH PLANNING)
The off ice is responsible for administering the development and promotion of the infrastructure that supports research.
