当室では、業務として生物学的製剤（ワクチン及び血液製剤）の安全性に関わる試験 (エンドトキシン試験・発熱試験) を行っています。また、HTLV-1感染の効果的検査法の開発、HTLV-1および成人T細胞白血病 (ATL) の基礎的研究、生物学的製剤の安全評価法の開発、改良を行っています。
